An awesome bank website!?
It’s almost too good to be true. Check out the website for First Direct bank, a division of HSBC. Clearly, the bank is targeting Gen-Y, and they are doing a darn good job of it. I’ve never encountered a bank website with this many fun and interactive elements. First Direct seems to know exactly what it stands for. One look at this experiential site tells me that the bank brand is urban, young and eco-conscious. They’ll plant a tree for every 20 accounts that no longer require paper statements, and by using a cool interactive storybook, you can drag and drop a sapling into the location of your choice. That’s just one example of the many interactive, targeted elements on this site.
First Direct doesn’t just have an awesome website. They have a website that convinces me that they fit the lifestyle of a young person. In other words, they have a website that effectively proves their story.
